What
if
reflection wasn’t about how you look, but how you affect space?

//OVERVIEW
Penumbra is a tangible interface that reimagines
the act of reflection. Instead of showing how we
look, it captures how we exist in space. It uses the physics of polarisation to create a reflective surface that doesn’t capture your face, it reflects your presence.
It invites you to appear, interact, and then disappear, leaving no record, only the trace
of being there.
//OBJECTIVE
The project explored embodiment in tangible interaction, focusing on how the body, material,
and space communicate without screens or
symbolic control. The intent was to design for
presence as participation, where the body itself becomes the medium of interaction.
