This was an entry for a national level logo design competition. Backed the second price.
Designed logo for a "Haat" for Indext-C, Department which
is under the Commissioner of Cottage and Rural Industries.
It plays a vital role in providing a market linkage to support artisans of cottage and rural Industries throughout the year
by organising exhibition/melas. To provide a permanent
base of exhibiting, the department has established permanent setups at Ahmedabad and Bhuj in Gujarat, India.
Concept
Through our logo we want to depict people coming together and at the same time givingit a cultural as well as festive feel.
It comprises of components depicting people holding hands with the word ‘haat’ written in Gujarati in the centre. The arms and the linkage have a delicate thread like feel to it. Overall, the form as well as the colour of the logo is inspired from the geometric/symmetrical Gujarati motifs and aesthetics.
